Thousands of years ago the Eskimos made the first kayaks out of whalebone, wood and seal skin, allowing them access to a whole new world of sea-going adventure. Foldlite reinvented this original skin-on-frame design using cutting-edge engineering and materials to create not only a technical marvel, but a whole new generation of recreational watercraft.
Our goal is to reduce your gear load by creating lightweight, multi-functional products that evolve with your paddling needs. Foldlite boats
condense into a custom backpack with a total carrying weight of 20-24 lbs. and can be assembled in about 15 minutes. Because Foldlite boats are a hybrid of skin-on-frame and hard-shell technology, they offer the best of both worlds—flexibility as well as stability on the water. They are incredibly buoyant without the use of air bladders or flotation devices. Our boats are designed to handle any conditions the water might throw at you, though only skilled paddlers should attempt to navigate serious rapids.

LIMITED WARRANTY STATEMENT Thank you for purchasing a Foldlite product. All new Foldlite products come with a one-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship from the original date of purchase from an authorized agent.
1. Limited Warranty Conditions The limited warranty is provided to the original owner only and is not transferable. Warranty registration and proof of purchase will be required for any limited warranty on Foldlite products. Foldlite’s warranty covers only those defects which arise as a result of normal use of the product, and do not apply to any product: (i) which has been repaired or altered unless done or approved by Foldlite; (ii) which has not be maintained in accordance with any operating or handling instructions provided by Foldlite; (iii) which has been altered or damaged by accident; (iv) which has been subjected to unusual physical or electrical stress, misuse, abuse, or negligence or; (v) which has been used other than in accordance with the product operating and handling instructions. 2. Limited Warranty Coverage Within one year of the date of purchase, if Foldlite receives notice of defect in any Foldlite product which is covered by Foldlite’s warranty, Foldlite shall either repair the defective product or replace with a new or refurbished unit, at Foldlite’s option. Foldlite shall have no obligation to repair or replace until the customer returns the defective product to Foldlite according to the Warranty Procedures outlined below. 3. Warranty Procedure For the duration of the warranty period, Foldlite will replace or repair defective products. If a product is suspected of being defective, the owner should contact Foldlite’s Customer Service department. A representative will authorize the exchange or repair of the defective item. Products must be shipped on the original or comparable packaging with shipping and insurance charges prepaid in U.S. currency. 4. Limitation of Warranty Neither Foldlite nor its third party suppliers make any other warranty or condition of any kind whether expressed or implied, with respect to the Foldlite products, and specifically disclaim the implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, satisfactory quality, and fitness for a particular purpose. 5. Limitation of Liability Except for the limited obligations specifically set forth in the warranty statement, in no event shall Foldlite or its third party suppliers be liable for direct, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages, whether based on contract, tort, or any other legal theory and whether advised of the possibilities of such damages.
